CMDR Associates, Inc. is seeking to fill the following positions on projects outside the United States.

 

Team Leader, Vertical Structures

 

Job Duties:

• Develop/establish and modify/revise quality control systems for vertical structures.

• Supervise/manage field manager monitors, senior monitors, and monitors in daily work conduct. 

• Act as liaison with the host county government officials on construction issues as they arise..

• Coordinate with the client agency and partner organizations to determine priority areas.

• Conduct ongoing training for monitors of various levels to ensure quality monitoring is provided.

• Review and report on monitor performance. 

• Perform other duties as may be required.

Desired Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, preferably structural or closely related engineering background.

• Substantial (minimum 10 years) experience in building construction and construction supervision is required.

• Minimum 10 years in construction of institutional buildings to include knowledge of all systems (structural, architectural, electrical, and mechanical) with increasing responsibility and concurrent supervisory responsibilities.

• Good management, engineering supervisory, verbal, communication, writing, organization, and interpersonal skills.

 

Structural Engineer

 

Job Duties:

• Conduct engineering feasibility studies.

• Develop government cost estimates for vertical construction projects. 

• Conduct structural engineering recons as part of engineering feasibility studies.

• Develop SOW's for design and build projects.

• Develop plans, specs and contract terms. 

• Develop government cost estimates for PRT projects.

• Investigate construction issues.

• Assist in capacity building exercises as necessary for various organizations.

Desired Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, preferably civil or closely related engineering background.

• Structural (vertical) design experience with increasing responsibility. 

• Minimum 5 years construction experience.

• Good verbal, communication, writing, organization, and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of local language, Dari or Pashto is desirable.
